The JCISD Board adopted its current set of policies (March 2009) using NEOLA, a professional service that specializes in assisting school boards in developing bylaws and policies and keeping them updated as state and federal laws and regulations change. These are systematically updated on a biannual basis under NEOLA's recommendations.

Note: Revision of District Service Animal Policy
On November 10, 2015, the Jackson County ISD Board of Education adopted a new (revised) Policy 8390, as well as a new, supplementary Policy Policy 8390.01 addressing service animals and other animals in its schools.
