The Jackson County Intermediate School District is an educational service agency that works in partnership with local public and charter schools, and the local community. We are committed to the success of all students by providing educational leadership, services, programs, and resources.
With a teacher shortage impacting schools across the nation, Jackson County schools and early childhood centers are putting themselves in the same place at the same time in hopes of netting a massive pool of qualified candidates to choose from.
Jackson Area Career Center Culinary Arts instructor John Helmbreck, along with three students, his assistant and two Jackson area chefs, recently opened up the Career Center kitchen and turned on their cameras for a virtual Food Culture presentation to more than a dozen students around the world.
Bright by Text includes expert tips, informational messages and resources specific Jackson County such as family-friendly events, digital library resources, and more.
The virtual tour replaces in-person tours that usually take place during the month of February, but have been canceled this year due to COVID-19.
JCISD board members will be meeting in person in the KEC Boardroom at 5:30pm. Guests are welcome, but there will be a capacity limit due to social distancing, and other COVID protocol will be followed (masks, self health questionnaires). There is new equipment in the boardroom that provides a virtual option for citizens/staff that want to join the meeting, but do not want to attend in person. Click the link above for the Zoom link.
