Patient Care Technician
Patient Care Technicians are health professionals who provide direct patient care within their regulated scope of practice. They perform basic nursing assistant tasks (as delegated by the nursing or medical staff) which may include obtaining patient vital signs and other data, and performing ECG’s and phlebotomy tasks.
Cost: The cost of the class is $3100.00, which includes most supplies. Books not included.Externship:
Students will have a 80 hour clinical experience where they will get the opportunity to perform some of the advanced skills they have learned. Only students who have passed each of the 4 individual sessions and meet all course requirements will be eligible for the externship experience.
Graduates:
Students who successfully complete this program will be eligible to test with NCCT for the following certifications:
- Patient Care Technician
- Phlebotomy Technician
- Electrocardiography Technician
- Advanced Nurse Aide
