Mr. Tony McNeil

Mr. McNeil has over 25 years experience in law enforcement with the Jackson County Sheriff’s office, including 17 years experience with the Special Response Team (SWAT). He holds several law enforcement instructor certifications and has been an in-service police instructor for many years. Mr. McNeil has a degree in Law Enforcement from Grand Rapids Community College along with additional training from Michigan State and Eastern Michigan University.

Mr. Brett Halsey

Mr. Halsey is the IA for the Firefighting and Law Enforcement programs. His experience includes more than 27 years with the Jackson County Sheriff's Office as a Sergeant and Chief Training Officer in the Corrections Division. Mr. Halsey also worked as a Campus Safety Officer for Baker College for three years. Mr. Halsey graduated from East Jackson High School, and attended Kellogg Community College and Jackson Community College studying Criminal Justice. He is also a certified MHSAA Baseball Official and has spent nearly a decade coaching high school baseball and football.
