Wireless Refresh Q&A

Question:  I see a number of ERATE 470’s released for member districts of JCISD.  The wireless portion of these all specify Cisco 9120 access points.  Are these AP’s to terminate on existing Cisco controllers, and if so, is the controller function local at the district or centrally located at the ISD?

Answer:   The requested APs will terminate on existing Cisco controllers that are centrally located at the ISD.  Consortium members are part of an enterprise licensing agreement and as a result they purchase APs with the C9120AX-DNA-OPTOUT line item.
