ESL: English as a Second Language

In October of 2019, the College & Career Access Center began a partnership with Lux Language, proudly announcing its new initiative. ESL (English as a Second Language). The new curriculum consists of five levels. Classes are designed for students to progress in English proficiency with each 16-week session.

All students are initially assessed to determine which level is the appropriate to begin and will progress from that level. The goal is that all students will work to complete the five levels; gaining improved language skills and greater confidence in their ability to effectively communicate in English.
