Kit Young CenterThe Kit Young Center is located at 1185 W. Parnall Road, on the Torrant Center campus and has three contained classrooms primarily for Moderately Cognitively Impaired (MoCI) students and one classroom for multiple impairments. There are a total of 45 students attending the program. The purpose of this program is to provide community education, mobility, pre-vocational and vocational training in various actual real life settings resulting in successful community utilization and development of skills of community independence.
Staffing includes four teachers and 12 teacher assistants. Our student populations developmental delays preclude their ability to reach a typical adult role level of functioning. We build on each students individual level of functioning, fostering the attainment of their highest possible level of achievement.
