Overview

The Jackson County ISD Literacy team assists local school districts in the creation of a sustained, collaborative culture for literacy improvement from the early phases of literacy acquisition through adolescent literacy. Included in this effort are the JCISD Early Literacy Coaching, Reading Recovery®, Teachers College Reading and Writing Units of Study, and Comprehensive Literacy Professional Learning opportunities which focus on evidenced based best practices.
