Overview

The Read Aloud Project has been created to make it easier for teachers to bring powerful, engaging read alouds into their classrooms. This is a collection of high-quality picture books and  lesson plans that align with Literacy Essential #2 that are contrived from Maria Walther's "Ramped Up Read Alouds". 

When teachers check out a book, everything they need is already done--thoughtful vocabulary has been selected, meaningful stopping points are planned, and prompts for rich, natural conversations are built right in.  Teachers get to focus on connecting with students while explicitly teaching towards comprehension without the scramble to pre-plan.
