Attendance

The JCISD employs a county attendance officer at no charge to local school districts. This attendance officer works with families to address the barriers to regularly attending school and connects youth and families to community resources. The attendance officer provides coaching and training to schools on evidence-based strategies to improve attendance. Also, the JCISD attendance officer collaborates with the Jackson County prosecutor's office to enforce school attendance laws.
The image presents information about legal consequences of student absences and the importance of attendance, featuring various icons and graphics related to education and attendance.
